Research Fellow (Law), Manchester

A Research Fellow is required to work on the EU-funded SwafS project HYBRIDA directed at the University of Manchester by Professor Soren Holm in the Department of Law.
The contract starts on 1 June 2021, running for 32 months. You will be based in the Department of Law, in the School of Social Sciences. The University of Manchester values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
The project is an EU Science with and for Society project on the ethics and regulation of human organoids in biomedical research and precision medicine. UoM is responsible for the Workpackage on regulatory gaps and overregulation and also contributes to workpackages on health technology assessment and public engagement through ‘mini publics’.
Working under the guidance of the P.I., you will have responsibility for integrating mappings of organoid research activity and regulation relevant to organoids in order to identify regulatory gaps and overregulation, identify current and possible future regulatory actors nationally and internationally, and develop suggestions for future regulation.
