Leigh E. Rich holds a Ph.D. in Health and Behavioral Sciences and an M.A. in Cultural/Medical Anthropology. She currently is a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Bioethical Inquiry and the host of WRUU's Listening to Literature. She is a Professor of Health Services Administration, teaching courses in bioethics, health law and policy, and social theory. Her research focuses on bioethics and the body, health-related law, visual media, gender, the philosophy of medicine, and qualitative methodologies. She has worked as a journalist for publications in the United States and in Russia and has worked and/or studied in Italy, Australia, Denmark, and Switzerland.
